Built for the Built Environment
Company Background
ARC Digital Site LLC was founded in 2026 with a clear focus: provide professional, drone-based documentation and reality-capture services for the commercial built environment. Not event photography. Not real estate glamour shots. Documentation — the kind that general contractors, developers, architects, and property managers rely on to make decisions, track progress, and protect their investments.
The company name reflects that focus. "ARC" speaks to architecture and construction. "Digital Site" reflects what we do — capture a site digitally, from perspectives that ground-based work cannot reach, and deliver it in formats your team can use immediately.
Our tagline, "Capturing the Built Environment," is not a marketing phrase. It is a description of the work.
Randy Hood
President / Remote Pilot in Command (RPIC)
Randy brings more than four decades of experience in Nashville's construction and architecture industry to every engagement. His career spans project management, estimating, design-build delivery, architectural drafting, and BIM — from the job trailer to the model. He has managed construction projects from budgeting to closeout, worked with architects and clients from schematic design through construction documents, and built BIM standards and workflows for general contractors in Middle Tennessee.
Before founding ARC Digital Site, Randy served as VDC Coordinator and UAS Coordinator / Remote Pilot in Command for a Nashville-based general contractor, where he integrated drone-based documentation and reality capture into active construction workflows. That role combined his deep knowledge of how buildings get built with the aerial technology used to document them — and it became the foundation for ARC Digital Site.
Randy has worked in CADD since 1987 and BIM platforms including Revit since 2010, with additional expertise in 3D visualization, clash detection (Navisworks), and photogrammetric processing. He is a United States Air Force veteran and holds an active FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate. He has spent his entire career in Nashville and understands the local development landscape from the ground up — because he has been part of building it.
Credentials and Operations
FAA Part 107 Certified. ARC Digital Site operates under full federal certification for commercial drone operations. Every flight is conducted in compliance with FAA regulations, with appropriate airspace authorization obtained before launch.
Commercially Insured. We carry comprehensive general liability insurance specific to UAS operations, along with inland marine coverage for equipment.
Safety-First Operations. Every engagement includes a Project Safety and Security Plan (PSSP) covering airspace authorization, crew configuration, emergency procedures, and incident reporting. For a detailed overview of how we manage compliance and flight safety, see our FAA Compliance and Safety page.
Nashville and Middle Tennessee
ARC Digital Site is based in Nashville, Tennessee, and serves commercial clients across the Middle Tennessee region. We know the local development landscape — the contractors building it, the architects designing it, and the regulatory environment surrounding it. That local knowledge informs how we plan flights, manage airspace authorizations, and coordinate with project teams.
For projects outside our primary service area, regional travel is available.
